Mackenzie Falls
First topic message reminder :
This is beautiful place where canids come to relax and the healers can pick herbs. The prey is plentiful but that means predators too.

Re: Mackenzie Falls
Kai found himself surprised by his secret amusement in Connor. "Probably not," he agreed, grinning as well. "But maybe if someone were to help teach me..."

Re: Mackenzie Falls
Connor frowned, looking at Kai. "I'm not Mr. Kenwoof" he said, sitting down, and watching his fur flop down as he finished scratching his itchy spot. He shrugged, and continued to scratch. He grinned in pleasure and satisfaction, enjoying that he could scratch that itchy place.

Rolling his eyes, Kai stood up and padded away, only pausing a short moment to look over his shoulder. "Thanks for the conversation then," he muttered, then he continued on his way.

Re: Mackenzie Falls
Connor grinned. "Alright then, good luck finding a teacher, grasshopper" he barked, before stretching himself, and brushing his fur with his tongue. He spat out the fur strands, before standing up and shaking his pelt. He yawned, then looked for Lucha or Ken'ichi to talk with.

Re: Mackenzie Falls
Ken'ichi watched as the dark cocoa-coloured male conversed with the newcomer, slightly surprised by the way he treated him. Connor acted differently from what he had expected. He was unsure if he should step in or not, glancing at the two males with a neutral expression. It was only when Kai walked off, he decided to go after him. Slowly, he opened his muzzle to speak. "I could help you if you would like?" He offered. The Akita Inu knew he was not the best hunter, but he could at least help with the Maned Wolf's fighting skills. "I am experienced in fighting, and some hunting." Ken'ichi calmly twitched his tail, awaiting a response.

Hazel listened closely to the two males conversation. She thought they were having some sort of an argument. Hear ears where lowered and hidden behind her head. Hazel knew she wasn't going to get anywhere if she kept her behaviour like this.

Re: Mackenzie Falls
The ivory male slid smoothly into the area, ears pricked. His icy blue eyes scanned the area, calmly gazing around at the other canines gathered around the falls. Blizzard paid no real attention to what was going on around him, and simply stalked over to a shallow pool of water. He sat near its edge, gazing into the depths of the refreshing liquid.

Hurricane watched with narrowed eyes as Connir handled anothe rnewcomer. The Dingo's proud gaze swept ove rhis growin gpack, and two strangers. Jumping to his paws, he trotted over to them (Blizzard and Hazel), shakin ghis fur. "Hi there, what brings you here?" He asked curiously. The leader is usually more friendly than aggressive.

Blizzard yawned, paying no attention to the dingo (Hurricane) that trotted up to him. After a few seconds he calmly looked at the male and voiced, "I did not come here of my own choice, and I know you are going to ask this, so I might as well say it. My name is Blizzard." His icy blue gaze then wandered to the sky, as the male had no interest in sharing anything more than his name to strangers.

Re: Mackenzie Falls
Lucha blinked the sleep away from her eyes. She dreamily scanned the area with those tired eyes, their lime gaze still burning as brightly as they could. Almost immediately she spotted a male casually looking up at the sky, and avoiding the Leader's stare. She pursed her lips, assuming he would need help cracking this nut. While rising to her legs, her bones cracked from stiffness. She growled softly, and waded from the shadow of the umbrella-tree. Lucha nodded towards the two canines as she approached.
"G'day, Blokes," She offered her brief greeting without much of an expression, standing beside the snowy-white male.
The Maned Wolf then sniffed, and narrowed her eyes. She craned her neck to the side a bit to take in a closer look of his face. His ice-blue eyes told her everything of his origin.
"Well, ye ganna melt." She slapped her tongue against her cheek.

Re: Mackenzie Falls
Blizzard slowly turned his head as a maned wolf trotted up to him and started sniffing him. "Do you always go up, rudely sniff, and tell newcomers the obvious?" He inched away slightly and gave his white fur a quick lick, keeping an icy blue eye on the maned wolf.

Lucha cackled, and spoke with a nonchalant tone.
"I wadn't call et 'rude'..." She mused, drifting off into a thought.
"Wait, no, ye roight. I'm prably tha meanest ye'll meet. G'luck with this frozen nat, Hurry-cayn."
A devilish grin curled the sides of her lips as she turned to trot away from the challenging male. Her shoulders bounced as she continued to chuckle.
'He even knows he's ganna melt. Tha irany.'

Blizzard looked quite bored as the female walked away. Insults had absolutely no effect on him. He yawned, dropping to the ground, letting his head drop to his paws, all the while maintaining his bored expression.

Hazel looked timidly at the male. "Guid mornin," She said in a shy voice. "Ahm seekin' acceptance if ye could be kind enough tae let me join." She looked down at her paws and felt stupid. She couldn't talk formally and was endlessly using Scottish slang.

Re: Mackenzie Falls
Connor walked up to Hurricane, looking at the strangers. He saw Hurricane dealing with the snow-white male, so he directed to the female. He offered a small smile, before nodding. "Of course, welcome to the pack." He stated, "what's your title?" He questioned, sitting down on his flanks, tapping his tail.

Hazel looked at the male in front of her. "Mah name is Hazel," She told him. "Thenk ye by the way." The female slowly turned submissive and lay on her back, exposing her stomach, showing that she was no threat.

Connor nodded, suddenly feeling awkward, and watching as the female laid down, showing submission. "Eh... n-no worries, you're now a member, no need to show any submission right n-now" he said, having it difficult to speak to females. He blinked, and shuffled his paws, before clearing his throat and nodding at the female again.

Re: Mackenzie Falls
Connor turned to her. "N-no it's fine, r-really" he mumbled, trying to keep the authority in his accent. His only weakness, speaking to females. Nothing else. He sighed, and continued to watch the rest of the members. He scratched his itchy spot again, before comfortably sitting again.

Re: Mackenzie Falls
Hazel nodded. She noticed about how the male was slightly uncomfortable. She thought that she had done something wrong and flattened her ears. She was about to ask a question but shut her mouth. She was going to address the male by his name but she had not yet learnt it. "Ahm sorry if ahm being rude," She said nervously. "Buht a was wonderin' aboot wit yer name is?"

Connor eyed the female, and he just had to confess. "Sorry, I'm not used to speak to...... females" he mumbled, before replying. "Connor" he replied, standing up, and stretching his muscles, hoping that he was less stressed. He sighed, and sat down again.

Connor turned to face Hazel. He looked at the distance for a while. "I'm Native American, but my father's from England or Europe" he said, hoping not to reveal any more personal information. He just didn't want to get recognized as one of the most successful canine assassins in the known lands.

Re: Mackenzie Falls
Kai had learned to catch the smaller prey by trial and error. He had found a dead hare caught by something else, and nibbled greatfully on the bones. He used his strong jaws to crack open the leg bones, and licked up the nutritious marrow hidden inside.
Licking his lips, he used his teeth to scrape off what's left of the meat. A good meal was very satisfying after so long without meat. Kai sat up and dug a shallow hole in the ground then kicked the remains into it and buried it.
Sometime soon he would try hunting again, and have a proper meal like a proper wolf.

Re: Mackenzie Falls
Blizzard watched the two (Hazel and Conner) converse for a while, and then he quietly slipped away. He sniffed at the ground, caught the scent of a young hare, and followed it. Soon enough, he found a plump hare nibbling on a tiny patch of grass. His ice blue eyes bore into its pack, and the wolf slid smoothly across the ground. When he was a leg's length away, Blizzard's right forepaw shot out and fell upon the hare, snapping its neck instantly.
The wolf sat up, pleased by his hunting skills. He disliked getting his brilliant white muzzle bloody, and he found it tedious to lick all the blood off. Nor did he enjoy watching blood seep out of the prey after death. So he simply snapped its neck. The wolf bent down, delicately snapping up pieces of meat. His method of eating was odd- he pulled a piece off with a paw, then tossed it in the air and he caught it in his mouth. When he was done, he licked the light layer of blood off his muzzle. Blizzard then continued to lick the blood off his paws from severing the flesh.
Afterwards, he retired to a Blizzard-sized rock, where he lay. His icy blue eyes stalked the nearby maned wolf (Kai).
